Oh to be happy and carefree…

This clip makes me yearn for youth again. Something about this husky running madly through a pile of leaves reminds me of my yoof and being told not to run through leaves (for fear of treading in dog shit – really? come on!!). This dog looks to be having the time of his life and reminds me of Phoebe’s running skit in Friends. Run like no one’s watching! Jump! Flail about! Dive bomb! Perhaps I have become Rachel and need to veer a bit towards Phoebe’s outlook on life. Leaves…here I come!

See The Real Models For The Archer Characters

Archer

If you’ve not seen Archer before, I highly recommend it! Archer is a secret agent working for his mother’s agency ISIS. He is brash, obnoxious, a charmer and outrageous! The characters are hilarious, every single one of them.

What’s also great about this show is the animation. It’s Sterling work!

I stumbled on this webpage which shone some light as to where the animators get their character work from.

P.S. This show is definitely NOT for kids.

It’s nearly time for the luvvies of Hollywood to congregate at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles for the 85th Academy Awards. To celebrate the 85th year, a wonderful poster has been produced by artist Olly Moss.

Like the Aliens poster that I posted previously, this one requires a closer look too. Click the image for the full resolution image of the poster.

85 statuettes standing to mark the 85 years of the Oscars, each statuette adopting the persona of the film that won the Best Picture Award for that particular year. Quite an achievement with some of them so subtle, you might find it hard to figure out which film it represents. Check out 1988s statuette and be amazed at the subtlety!

How many can you get right? Here’s a full list of winners year by year to see how well/badly you did.

Amazing Poster for Aliens

At first glance this might just look like a rather fuzzy, low-resolution image of a poster for 80s film Aliens. Take a closer look though. Click here to be taken to said closer look.

The poster is made up of 10, 126 tiny individual images, each of a scene from the movie. Very cleverly done – but you must click the link to fully appreciate it where you are able to zoom in and explore the poster more clearly. As an indcator of how big this image is, it is 8127 x 12302 and 100 megapixels.

American Horror Story: Asylum. “The Name Game”

Loving the second season of American Horror Story.

Producer, Ryan Murphy, injected a little influence from his other show (Glee) into episode ten, entitled “The Name Game” where Jessica Lange’s character broke out into song. Shame it was all in her head as she suffers from delusions following electro-shock therapy.

Quentin Tarantino: ‘I’m shutting your butt down!'”

What an absolute dick!

Sorry to be a hater but Tarantino comes across as a spoilt brat in this interview. He can’t handle these questions which are legitimately relevant to society these days. You can’t deny Tarantino enjoys his violence in his movies. I think it’s also fair to say that there are more violent acts carried out these days as a result of what we see in the movies. Controversial! Just my opinion (and that of a couple of hundred million people).

Krishnan Guru-Murthy is a bit a of legend to me after seeing his interview skills.
